This shop should work for you whether you use a mouse, a keyboard, a screen reader, or one thumb on a phone on the bus.
We build towards WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the standard we aim at, not a certificate we hold. No auditor has signed this site off, so we claim the effort and the fixes, and nothing more than that.
What we have done so far
- Keyboard
- Every link, button and field can be reached and used with the keyboard alone, and a skip link takes you straight to the main content.
- Focus
- Whatever you land on is ringed clearly. We do not hide the focus ring to make a page look tidier.
- Contrast
- Text is checked against the AA contrast ratio. Our gold and berry come in a darker shade when they are used for words rather than for decoration.
- Motion
- If your device asks for reduced motion, our animations stop rather than merely slow down.
- Structure
- Real headings, landmarks and lists, in order, so a screen reader can move through a page without guessing.
- Forms
- Every field carries a visible label, and an error says in plain words what to do about it.
- Text size
- Type is set in relative units, so the site follows your browser zoom and the font size you have chosen.
We also know where we fall short. Some product photographs carry alt text that names the bake but not the decoration on it. The payment window and the screen where you type the code we text you belong to the companies that run them, so we can choose whether to use them but we cannot fix what is inside them. Anything new we ship may sit behind this list until we have gone through it.

We aim to reply within five working days. If a fix will take longer, we will say so and tell you when to expect it, and in the meantime we will take your order over the phone instead.
